2017 Training Opportunies

The North Carolina Mosquito and Vector Control Association (NCMVCA) will host a workshop July 11-12, 2017 at the Pitt County Agricultural Extension Center (403 Government Circle, Greenville, NC).

Current NCMVCA Members are invited to attend this two day workshop. Day One (July 11, 2017) of the workshop is free to NCMVCA members (lunch is provided to attendees) that register by the deadline of June 19, 2017. Day Two (July 12, 2017) will cost $50 for members and will include a basic half-day larval mosquito identification course focused on container ovipositing mosquitoes.

We will apply for both pesticide applicator and REHS continuing education credits.

Note that the mosquito identification course (Workshop Day 2 – July 12, 2017) will be on a first come, first served basis, due to the availability of microscopes/specimens (up to 20 participants).
The mosquito identification course (Day 2) is now full. There is plenty of space left for attendees in Day1 of the workshop.

Vendor-Sponsored Training/Workshops:

Every year the vendors offer training workshops across the state.  In addition to obtaining continuing education credits for Category B, Public Health Pesticide Applicator’s License, these workshops are an excellent way to meet and network with other mosquito control professionals in the area.
